Family Tradition

In 1851, the LaGrande family moved to the Sacramento Valley and started a family farm. Five generations later, Ken is carrying on the tradition as a farmer, rancher, cattleman, entrepreneur, and founder of the LaGrande Family Foods Group.

In addition to being CEO and Founder of LaGrande Family Foods Group, Ken is an active member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), the world’s premier peer network of chief executives and business leaders.

Water Activist

Ken is a long-time activist for water issues.

He is the former chairman of the board for the Tehama-Colusa Canal Authority and also the Sites Project Authority whose mission is to promote the development of off-stream storage reservoirs in Northern California.

Ken is also a member of the board for the USA Rice Millers’ Association and Delta Waterfowl, an organization dedicated to the conservation of duck habitats in North America.

Ken’s latest entrepreneurial adventure is as the co-founder of So Good Saké. Made from 100% California grown rice and brewed in small batches, So Good Saké is rooted in the Japanese legacy of precision, craft, and quality.

Family Rancher and Farmer

Ken, his wife Julie and their two sons split their time between Sacramento and London. Carrying on the family tradition, Ken grows rice and runs his family cow-calf operation in Oregon.
